Life Groups
At Derryvolgie, Life Groups are all about connection. They’re a place where people can gather in smaller groups during the week to chat, explore faith together, share life experiences and build meaningful friendships in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Each week, questions linked to Sunday’s sermon are shared with the groups, helping continue the conversation beyond Sunday morning. Every Life Group has its own leader who helps guide discussion, encourage participation and create space where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts, questions and stories.
Whether you’re new to church, exploring faith or simply looking to connect with others, Life Groups are a great way to feel part of the Derryvolgie community.
When Do Life Groups Meet?
In Person Groups
- Tuesday – 7:00pm to 8:00pm
- Wednesday – 2:00pm to 3:00pm
Online Groups (Zoom)
- Tuesday – 8:00pm to 9:00pm
- Two separate online groups currently run each week
The online groups work especially well for young families, those with busy schedules and members who may find travelling more difficult. They offer the same sense of connection and discussion from the comfort of home.
More Than Just a Meeting
Life Groups aren’t just about discussion – they’re about community. Throughout the year, friendships are built, support is shared and people walk through life together.
At the end of the academic year, all of the Life Groups come together for a big family BBQ and social gathering. It’s a relaxed and fun event where members, children and wider families can spend time together and celebrate the friendships formed throughout the year.
