A Summer Scheme Full of Fun, Faith and Potential

What a brilliant two weeks it has been. Our summer scheme was a huge success, bringing together young people for a packed programme of fun, friendship, faith and personal growth. Delivered in partnership with Youth Initiatives, the scheme created a safe, energetic and welcoming space where young people could enjoy their summer, build confidence and discover more of who they are and what they are capable of.

Partnering with Youth Initiatives

Working alongside Youth Initiatives was a real highlight. Their experience, energy and heart for young people helped shape a programme that was not only enjoyable, but purposeful. Together, we were able to engage with young people in a way that felt natural, relational and encouraging, giving them space to be themselves while also challenging them to grow.

No Time to Be Bored

Across the two weeks, the programme was full of variety. From exciting day trips to games, group activities, creative challenges and time spent simply having fun together, there was always something happening. The aim was clear: to make sure every young person had something to look forward to, something to get involved in and something to remember. Boredom did not get much of a chance.

Growing in Faith and Maturity

Alongside all the fun, there were meaningful opportunities to talk about faith, life and the choices young people face every day. Sharing faith was an important part of the scheme, not as something forced, but as an invitation to explore, ask questions and think more deeply. It was encouraging to see young people grow in maturity as they listened, reflected, supported one another and began to recognise the positive influence they can have in their own lives and communities.

Helping Young People Realise Their Potential

One of the greatest successes of the summer scheme was seeing young people begin to realise their potential. Whether through trying something new, taking part in a group challenge, encouraging a friend or stepping into leadership in small ways, each young person had opportunities to grow. The scheme reminded us that when young people are given the right support, encouragement and space to belong, they can flourish.

We are so thankful for everyone who helped make these two weeks possible, and especially for the partnership with Youth Initiatives. It has been a summer full of laughter, connection, growth and hope — and we are excited to see how the young people continue to develop in the weeks and months ahead.
