Praying for Derryvolgie
“Prayer is a strong wall and fortress of the church; it is a goodly Christian weapon.”
This quote is attributed to Martin Luther and strikes at the heart of what it means to be a busy church. Not so actively busy with activities and programmes that we neglect the very reason we exist – a relationship with our Creator. Prayer is a simple two-way conversation between you and God. It can be helpful when others ask us to pray for something specific. It focuses the mind and the conversation with God. We want to help you pray more specifically for our community, parish, and ourselves enabling us to build a strong wall and fortress ensuring our light shines brightly in the darkness. If you would like to receive regular updates with pointers for prayer, then please sign up to our prayer group.
